Bacterial Pageants-yes, they do exist in the microworld!

There are competitions everywhere and the microworld is not immune to that!

The three first places in the miss Bacteria pageant were given to:

-3rd place Klebsiella pneumoniae as Miss Photogenic, for her work as a Multidrug-resistant to several antibiotics, can cause different types of healthcare-associated infections, including pneumonia, bloodstream infections, and meningitis. Not so happy was Neisseria meningitis, but soon passed.

- 2nd place Neisseria meningitis as Miss Pathogenic, for her work of great importance in clinical care as she promotes meningococcal meningitis. Enterococcos faecalis has her hope for this this spot, but body shamining coworkers is not the way to go!

-1 st place Pseudomonas aeruginosa as Miss microworld Bacteria, for all her talent and grace as she is fluorescent and Pseudomonas aeruginosa can affect organs such as the lungs, heart, ears, eyes, brain and meninges, gastrointestinal tract, bones, urinary system, or skin, and cause infections, as well as her biotechnological work as biosurfactant producer and can even remove metals from contaminated soils.
